Mindmap Studio for Jira Cloud - Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Mindmap Studio for Jira Cloud processes data when it is installed on a Jira Cloud site.

    Who is responsible

BranchCreation S.L.U. provides the app. Your organization (the Jira site administrator who installs the app) is the customer.

Atlassian hosts the app on the Forge platform. The app does not send data to BranchCreation servers, does not have a vendor-side database, and does not declare any external egress: it sends no data to third parties. See Mindmap Studio for Jira Cloud and the Subprocessors page for details.

    What the app accesses

With the site administrator's consent at install time, the app uses these Jira scopes:

    • read:jira-user: show assignee names on the map.
    • read:jira-work: read projects, issues, fields, components, versions, sprints and issue links in order to draw the map.
    • write:jira-work: apply the edits a user makes from the map — summaries, parents, fields, assignees, transitions, components, versions, sprint and issue links.

All Jira reads and writes are made through Jira's REST API as the signed-in user, so Jira project permissions, issue security and workflow rules apply. The app's backend resolver only confirms the signed-in account identifier and checks the Marketplace license; it does not read or write issue content. The app does not ask for Atlassian passwords or personal access tokens.

    Personal data stored

Mindmap Studio does not store Jira content or personal data on Forge storage, Forge SQL, or any BranchCreation system. The map is built in the user's browser from data that Jira already holds, and is discarded when the page is closed.

The app saves one display preference — the width of the issue pane — in the user's own browser local storage. It contains no personal data and is never sent anywhere.

    Data that leaves Atlassian

None. Mindmap Studio makes no requests to hosts outside Atlassian. PNG, PDF and SVG exports are created locally in the browser and are saved to the user's device only.

    How data is used

    • Display projects, issues and their relationships as an interactive map.
    • Write back to Jira the edits that a user performs from the map.
    • Verify the Marketplace license.
    • Generate map exports on the user's device.

Data is not sold or used for advertising.

    Retention and deletion

    • The app keeps no copy of Jira data, so there is nothing for it to retain or delete.
    • Changes made from the map are ordinary Jira edits and remain in Jira, with its normal issue history, until the customer deletes the issue.
    • Uninstalling the app does not delete Jira issues.
    • Exported files live on the user's device and are managed by the user.

Contact support@branchcreation.com for assistance with any data request.

    International transfers

Jira data follows the customer's Jira / Atlassian residency. The app does not transfer data to any other country or provider.

    Children

The app is for workplace use on Jira. It is not directed at children.

    Changes

We may update this policy when the app or the law changes. Material changes will also be reflected on the Marketplace listing.
